  New poll
  Monday, April 28, 2003 @ 1:39PM EDT by:  Kevin
A new poll has been posted. Nothing serious this time. The latest question: How many kids do you have? This would include adopted and step-children of course! Spouses may not be counted as a child, however justified.

  WavMan 11.x - GOLD MASTER!
  Sunday, April 20, 2003 @ 12:30AM EDT by:  Kevin
Yes, it's true. After a period of what...forever? The program is finally Gold Master. ::whew:: To upgrade to the final release, simply go to the WavMan Download Page and get the upgrade now!

So what's next?

New features I have on the drawing board. UK compatibility for 11.x. Hopefully to finally finish the help file and of course compatibility for the forthcoming AOL 9.0. As promised, WavMan 11.x will offer compatibility with that version of AOL, provided that the changes are not so big that I would have to start from scratch. The good news is that I don't think that will happen based on everything I have seen so far. Either way, there will not be an upgrade fee for AOL 9.0. This I should think would make a great many people happy.

We will have a beta test for one of the new features I am working on as it is a separate program designed to work with WavMan. Think of it like the Jukebox. That is part of WavMan, and it in reality its a separate program. If you didn't know this, well, it is. This new feature will be the same way...if I can get past some copyright issues. We'll see. Till then, keep guessing. A correct guess will get your name included in the WavMan about box. :)

  WavMan 9.x Updated!
  Thursday, April 17, 2003 @ 12:08AM EDT by:  Kevin
Okay...I updated WavMan 9.x to accommodate the AOL forced room change. WavMan 9.x users can download the upgrade here or use the "Check for Update" feature found under the WavMan main menu.

Thank you to everyone who wrote in and pleaded your case. I've never been handed a petition before, but I did get the point.

However, this update does not mean I will be going back and doing updates and bug fixes. It is still "as is" and as of tonight the code has been locked back away.

You're welcome.

  Concerning WavMan 9.x
  Tuesday, April 15, 2003 @ 10:02PM EDT by:  Kevin
As most WavMan 9.x users are aware, we sunset that program due to its age and compatibility with old versions of AOL. Based on the amount of mail received about it we have decided that if the demand is high enough, this one change will be fixed and the program will still be "as is." Please, do not include "I don't want to pay for upgrades" propaganda. Letters such as this don't make me feel like doing nice things. Thanks in advance for that consideration. .

If you are still using WavMan 9.x, please let me know so your voice can be heard. You can also participate in our poll, which basically asks the same question. A decision will be posted here next week

  New AOL chat room format
  Tuesday, April 15, 2003 @ 7:28PM EDT by:  Kevin
If you have not already seen it, AOL has revamped their chat rooms to the "AOL 8.0" look. This happened sometime in the early morning of April 15th. The only program affected was WavMan. Updates for both the 10.x and 11.x versions were available for download within an hour of my finding out about it.

WavMan 11.x was going to come out of beta this week, but as AOL changed things around, it may take a wee bit longer just to be on the safe side.

Updates are available as follows:

WavMan 11.x

WavMan 10.x

WavMan 9.x will not be updated as it was sunset last year.
